Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces seized a Marshall Islands-flagged crude oil tanker, the Talara, as it transited the Gulf of Oman after passing through the strategic Strait of Hormuz on Friday. The tanker, loaded with high-sulphur gasoil and operated by Columbia Shipmanagement, was bound from the UAE to Singapore when it was intercepted by three small Iranian military boats and directed into Iranian territorial waters. A U.S. Navy MQ-4C Triton drone reportedly circled overhead during the incident, but there were no casualties or damage to the vessel reported. Watch for more.
