Jabariya Jodi trailer out, Sidharth Malhotra abducts groom for forced marriage

The trailer of Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer Jabariya Jodi is out. Sidharth plays the character of Abhay Singh who abducts grooms and forces them to marry without dowry. Jabariya Jodi is said to be based on the concept of forced marriages or 'Pakadwa vivah' which was prevalent in Bihar till a few years ago. 'Pakadwa vivah' is a practice in which the bride's family kidnaps the groom and forces him to get married. The film also stars Jaaved Jaaferi, Aparshakti Khurana and Ruslaan Mumtaz among others. Directed by debutante director Prashant Singh, the film is set to hit theatres on August 2.
