Frequently described as 'The Diva of Bollywood' and throughout the 1970s till date she has been featured as a sex symbol in the Indian media. Rekha was born in Chennai on October 10, 1954 to a renowned Tamil actor Gemini Ganeshan and Telgu actress Pushpavalli.
