Trying to educate us viewers about the most distressing common man trouble, electricity outage, Batti Gul Meter Chalu starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Divyendu is in theatres. Set in the scenic beauty of Uttarakhand, the film is directed by Sree Narayan Singh who last made the Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.Batti Gul Meter Chalu despite having an educational element at its core is still made for mainstream viewers with humor used as a powerful tool.
