Villagers thronging a tree to offer worship

A Neem tree has assumed divine status for the villagers of Baigpur in Moradabad district. The locals and nearby villagers have been flocking in hundreds each day and offering obeisance to a tree whose trunk has been oozing with a milky white sticky fluid. Loud music and religious hymns accompany the frenzied activity around the otherwise desolate tree that grows in a farmer's fields.
