Think you're the biggest Harry Potter fan? Think again. This Mexican man's collection of magic wands, mandrakes, brooms, dragons, figurines and other Harry Potter memorabilia earned him the Guinness world record recognition in 2014.

The dedicated Menahem Asher Silva Vargas had ammased the largest collection of Harry Potter items in the entire world during the last fifteen years, with 3097 pieces.

Silva Vargas decided to share his collection with the other people out there who love anything Hogwarts-related.

“I was looking for a venue where I'd keep the objects that I loved so much and I realized I hadn't kept any records of what I had exactly. So the collection lost its purpose, it was dying in my hands,” he said.

Interactive museum “The House of Asher Potter,” which opened to the public Saturday in Mexico City, houses nearly 4,000 items related to the boy wizard created by British author JK Rowling.

Previously the collection was exhibited at the Antique Toy Museum (MUJAM) in Mexico City.
