Nothing can be worse than 2013: Jaitley’s jibe at UPA govt on economy

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley spoke on the second day of the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2018. Talking about the economy, the Finance Minister said that nothing could be worse than 2013. He said that all that was done before the BJP came in was the cut down on expenditure to manage balance sheets, which in turn made the growth suffer. He said maintaining fiscal prudence helps and liberties can only be taken when the fiscal situation of the country is strong.
