Roads were washed away as water from the Brahmaputra river entered Assam's Nagaon area. At least seven have been killed, more than 1.4 million people have been marooned as Assam is hit by floods. Almost all the rivers, including the Brahmaputra, Burhidihing, Dhansiri, Desang, Jia Bharali, Kopili, Puthimari, Beki, Katakhal and Kushiyara are in spate and flowing over the danger mark at several places in the state.
