‘U for ugly’: Bengal’s primary school book depicts dark-skinned man as ugly

Discrimination based on skin colour continues to prevail around the world. A primary school book in West Bengal depicted a dark-skinned person as 'ugly'. Incident was reported from Bengal's Bardhaman district. Book signified alphabet 'U' for 'ugly' with picture of a dark-skinned man. West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee has ordered to investigate the matter. Chatterjee have also suspended two people in this regard.
