Chidambaram arrested by probe agencies after high drama at residence

Former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in relation with the INX Media case. Just hours before his arrest, the Congress leader had addressed the press, claiming that he hasn't been accused of any offences. CBI officers took him into custody from his residence and escorted him to the agency's headquarters in Delhi. Chidambaram was Union Finance Minister when alleged irregularities took place in clearance given to INX Media by Foreign Investment Promotion Board for foreign funding.
