Jamia crackdown: Video shows Delhi police urging students to stop stone pelting

Delhi police on Tuesday released a video where the joint CP can be heard asking protesters to stop stone-pelting. The video from 15th December shows police personnel asking protesters in Jamia Millia Islamia to remain calm. Delhi Police has been facing flak for its handling of the protest at Jamia Millia. Several students were injured in the police action that followed the protests. Delhi police said the protests in Jamia were 'well-planned'. Police on Tuesday arrested ten people claiming that no student has been arrested. Protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act turned violent in Jamia on Sunday. Police detained several students who were later released.
