Former PM Manmohan Singh speaks on Art 370 move, invokes ‘idea of India’

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh commented on the Narendra Modi led-National Democratic Alliance government's decision to abrogate Jammu and Kashmir's special status. The Congress veteran said that the outcome wasn't to the liking of many people in the country. He said that it was important that these voices be heard and also invoked the 'idea of India'. Singh also filed his nomination for election to the Rajya Sabha on the same day. He is seeking election to a seat from Rajasthan. His previous stint in the Upper House of Parliament ended in June 2019.
