Updated on Mar 11, 2020 12:29 pm IST
An Opposition delegation met the President of India, Ramnath Kovind, on Tuesday. The delegation raised police action against those protesting against the recent changes to the Citizenship law. The parties also raised the Jamia Millia Islamia case, in which police entered the campus and allegedly roughed up students. The police has denied high-handedness. Speaking to the press after the meeting, Congress president Sonia Gandhi accused the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Central government of 'shutting down' people's voice.
