Outrage continues to grow over the horrific alleged gang-rape, torture, and subsequent death of a 19-year-old Dalit woman in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras. As the chorus for UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's resignation grew, he spoke to the victim's family via a video call on September 30. Earlier in the day, Yogi had announced the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) which has been asked to submit its report in 7 days, as per officials. Meanwhile, a senior BJP leader, Kailash Vijayvargiya, made a cryptic comment regarding the case. He said that 'vehicles can suddenly overturn in Yogi's UP'. It was seen by many as a reference to the case of gangster Vikas Dubey. He was being brought to UP after being arrested in Madhya Pradesh when the vehicle carrying him overturned. Police claim Dubey tried to escape and was subsequently shot dead. Meanwhile, the Indian National Congress stepped up its attack on the Yogi government, with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Sonia Gandhi leading the charge. Watch the full video for more.
