Manvendra Singh, politician and son of Jaswant Singh on Wednesday announced that he will join Congress. At a press conference held by leaders of Congress, Singh said, “I met Rahul Gandhi in the morning today and he welcomed me into the Party. He said that my joining the party will help with the forthcoming elections. We believe that those members who have stayed with us during the difficult times, who did not let their trust break and held up their self respect are coming with us into Congress and I believe they will also be beneficial to the part. I believe we will deliver a historic verdict in the state and national polls.”
