Kolkata airport: CISF personnel save passenger’s life by performing CPR

Central Industrial Security Force credited its personnel deployed at the Kolkata airport, with saving the life of a passenger. A 53-year-old passenger, J. Roychowdhury fainted and fell in the terminal area of the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in West Bengal's capital city. CISF personnel rushed to help him. They performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the passenger. He was finally revived due to the efforts of Sub Inspector Partha Bose, and Inspector Shampa Karmakar. CISF, which is the designated federal civil aviation security force, trains its personnel in basic medical procedures for emergency situations.
