Sher Mohammed Khan alias Sheru, a rickshaw puller from Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh is out on a giant cycle ride to promote the Samajwadi Party. Khan's giant cycle measure 12 feet long and 6 feet tall. Khan who is a die-hard fan of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, wants to see him play the second innings as CM. Khan's cycle yatra, covering Amroha, Rampur, Faizabad, Ayodhya, Lucknow and other neighbouring districts and around 15000km. However, he is not pedaling himself. He actually can't, because the cycle is huge. His son, Soni Khan pulls the cycle with a rope while riding a bike. Sheru is drawing hundreds of curious onlookers everywhere he goes. Sher Khan believes his giant-cycle 'yatra' will further highlight SP's party symbol and will eventually bring victory to the party, which he stated as the most pro-development party. In 2011, Sher Khan, who is also a big fan of film actor Dharmendra, pedalled his rickshaw from Meerut to Mumbai to meet the actor during the shoot of Jat Yamla Pagla Diwana, which featured Dharmendra and his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. A delighted Dharmendra fact gave him a small role in the movie as a return gesture.
