On the second day of swearing-in in Lok Sabha, Bharatiya Janata Party lawmaker Sakshi Maharaj took oath. The Member of Parliament from Unnao pronounced his oath in Sanskrit. He ended it with the slogan 'jai sri Ram'. In response, one of the other MPs in the Lower House of Parliament responded with the 'mandir wahi banayenge' chant, referring to the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya.
