‘Robbery & insult’: Ex-J&K CM Mufti slams Centre, holds meet after release

Updated on Oct 14, 2020 01:13 pm IST

Former Chief Minister of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti slammed the Central government after her release from detention. She was freed after spending over a year in detention amid the abrogation of J&K's special status and its bifurcation into two Union Territories. Issuing an audio statement via her Twitter account, the People's Democratic Party chief accused Delhi of 'robbery and insult', and 'illegal, undemocratic and unconstitutional' actions. She said that J&K must take back what was 'snatched' on the 'black day' of August 5, 2019 - a reference to the announcement of dilution of Article 370 of the Constitution. She also held a meeting with her party's leaders at her residence. Watch the full video for more.
