Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Mukund Naravane, commented on a recent Comptroller and Auditor General report. He said that the report, which highlighted equipment and ration shortage in high altitude areas, pertained to the year 2015-16 and so was outdated. General Naravane said that the Army was well prepared and soldiers in Siachen were being issued personal clothing worth Rs 1 lakh each. The CAG report had been tabled in Parliament earlier.
