‘Political equivalent of demonetisation’: Shashi Tharoor on Article 370

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has called the Central government's decision to scrap Article 370 of the Constitution as “political equivalent of the demonetisation”. The lawmaker also demanded an explanation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the House. “We all remember the last time when the PM unleashed a shock decision on the nation. The move was also initially applauded for its decisiveness… The nation is still dealing with the devastating consequences of that action,” he said.
