In her over three-decade long political career, Sheila Dikshit left an indelible mark on Indian politics. Her journey began with the meteoric Indira Gandhi, and she went on to create history by becoming the longest-serving Chief Minister of Delhi. Despite a string of unsuccessful political undertakings in recent times, Dikshit never gave up. Even at the age of 81, she energetically led the Congress' Delhi unit's campaign in the recently-concluded Lok Sabha elections.
