‘Shame, challenge for us all’: Vice President Naidu on recent rape horrors

Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu commented on recent incidents of rape and murder. He called the incidents a 'shame' and a 'challenge for all of us'. He made an appeal for people to take a vow to ensure that the 'atrocities' stop. He was speaking at the sixteenth convocation ceremony of Symbiosis International University. On November 27, a veterinary doctor had been raped and murdered in Telangana. On December 5, a rape victim had been set on fire allegedly by her rapists in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao. She died a day later.
