Should India go for more free trade pacts? Citigroup economist answers | Budget

Samiran Chakraborty, MD & Chief Economist, India, Citigroup said there wouldn't be much traction for trade agreements at a regional level unless global growth tendencies change. “India-EU trade pact, India-UK trade pact, India-US trade pact are very large negotiations which are somewhat halfway done. That way getting out of RCEP might not be the end of the road for India. There are many opportunities left to be exploited,” he added.
