‘New dawn for J&K’: Significance of PM Modi’s message to nation on Art 370
Updated on Feb 26, 2020 10:30 am IST
Three days after the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation. He blamed Articles 370 and 35A, the provisions which accorded Jammu and Kashmir its special status, for engendering terrorism, separatism, nepotism and corruption in the erstwhile state. He also appealed to the entire nation to help in development of J&K, which has now been split into two Union Territories, due to a bill passed by Parliament.
