State funeral with full military honours for Manohar Parrikar

Mortal remains of Manohar Parrikar were taken to BJP office in Panaji . The Goa Chief Minister will be accorded with a state funeral with full military honours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at the funeral to pay last respects. The Indian national flag was hoisted at half mast at Rashtrapati Bhavan as a mark of respect. Manohar Parrikar passed away at the age of 63 after he was detected with cancer. Parrikar was suffering from advanced pancreatic cancer and had been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, New York and New Delhi over the past year.
