Tiruppur eco-warrior distributes free saplings to create awareness

Selvakumar, a Tiruppur district employee has been distributing plant saplings free of cost to the people in various districts of Tamil Nadu working for the last four years. Selvakumar works all the five working days in the office and on weekends he visits several districts of the state to distribute plant saplings. He usually wears dress having several pockets which help him to carry hundreds of saplings in them. He also holds placards for the awareness of plantation drive which he had a passion for since his early childhood. He himself carries a message of tree plantation for helping sufficient rainfall in the state. For this, he spends more than Rs. 4000 per month from his own pocket for a tree plantation awareness campaign in the state.
