New Motor Vehicles Act: ₹16,000 challan issued to scooty rider in Kaithal

Traffic police issued a challan of Rs 16,000 to a scooty driver in Haryana's Kaithal. The offender allegedly had no documents of his scooty which was later impounded by police. Another man was fined Rs 23,000 by Gurugram traffic police. The man said he wasn't wearing helmet and didn't have the Registration Certificate. The amended Motor Vehicles Act has come into force from September 1.
