‘Triple talaq an issue of gender justice not religion’: Ravi Shankar Prasad

Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad spoke about the anti-triple talaq law and called it an issue of gender justice and not religion or faith. The Law minister said that it a matter of shame that it took 70 years for teen talaq to be made a criminal offence. He added that he met many Muslim women and heard their grievances about the issue. He also thanked Prime Minister Modi for bringing the bill.
