2G: BJP demands PC’s resignation, govt defends him
Updated on Dec 08, 2011 08:22 pm IST
Targeting home minister P Chidambaram, the BJP on Thursday asked his resignation over his alleged involvement in the multi-billion dollar 2G spectrum allocation scam. The comments came after special CBI court accepted Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy's plea to examine Home Minister P Chidambaram in the 2G spectrum case. However, the Communist Party of India took a more neutral stance, saying the party would raise questions only after proof against Chidambaram surfaced.
