2G: Exemption to Essar, Loop promoters

Promoters of the Essar Group and the Loop Telecom were today granted exemption from personal appearance by a Delhi court, which had summoned them as accused in the multi-billion 2G case. The Essar group, counsel, Mukul Rohtagi told reporters that an application was moved, seeking exemption from personal appearance for his client on grounds that they were residents of Dubai and that they had not been served the summons on time.
