35000 troops withdrawn from Kashmir: Omar

Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah on Thursday said that 35,000 troops have been withdrawn from the state since he took over last year. Abdullah also said that phone links between the divided parts of Kashmir, which have been cut off for the past 20 years, would be reopened soon to boost trade.For past 20 years all telecommunication links have been cut off between the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-administered-Kashmir, owing to security scenario in the state.
