Updated on Feb 24, 2012 10:53 am IST

Union home minister P Chidambaram on Saturday said that the central government was probing the flow of funds allegedly received by the anti-nuke plant activists at the Kudankulam nuclear power plant in Tamil Nadu. Attending a public meeting at Kudankulam, Chidambaram pledged to take strong actions if the funds were found to be misused by the activists. For the last few months, Kudankulam has been the epicenter of a wave of heated protests, with environmental activists and agitators voicing their ire at government's apathy towards the dangers posed by the plant.
