Ajay Maken assures strict action against CWG scam accused

Sports Minister Ajay Maken on Friday promised strict action in the Commonwealth Games scam case, asserting that the government would spare no one found guilty of corruption and financial mismanagement. The Sports Minister's comments came soon after the central government-appointed V.K. Shunglu Committee blamed Delhi Lt Governor Tejinder Khanna and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit for procedural violations and inadequacies in executing projects related to the Commonwealth Games. However, Dikshit dismissed the allegations levelled against her administration, saying that the Delhi government would clarify its stand before the Prime Minister after studying the report.
