Updated on Nov 04, 2011 01:37 pm IST

Social activist Anna Hazare broke his 19-day long 'vow of silence' this morning at Rajghat in New Delhi. The 74-year-old visited Gandhi's memorial at around 7am and broke his maun vrat that he had observed since October 16, by saying 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' aloud. Hazare had reached Delhi last night to attend a meeting of the Standing Committee on the Lokpal Bill.
