Updated on Feb 23, 2012 05:08 pm IST
Around 900 villagers of Etah district of Uttar Pradesh have boycotted the ongoing assembly polls as they are angered by the negligence on the part of the authorities to provide basic amenities to farmers. Speaking on the same lines, another local complained that leaders visit the village and make false promises during assembly polls but do nothing for their welfare. Uttar Pradesh is witnessing fifth phase of polls on Thursday. Results would be declared on March 06.
