Bengaluru: Ex-serviceman assaulted by cop for helping ambulance pass by

A bengaluru citizen was assualted by a traffic cop for letting an ambulance pass by during heavy traffic movement near the Cauvery theatre junction on Ballari Road. After the retired army officer removed the barricade and allowed movement of the ambulance, Ganganna, a sub-inspector (SI) attached to the Sadashivanagar traffic police station, slapped and assaulted him for doing so. The video of this man trying to help the emmergency situation has gone viral on social media. The cop has been suspended after video footage of the incident aired on news channels caught the attention of senior traffic police officers.
