BJP asks Yeddyurappa to quit over illegal mining report

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday finally asked Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa to quit after Lokayukta Santosh Hegde indicted him in the illegal mining scam report. Early in the morning top leaders of BJP met at the residence of the party chief, Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi to decide the fate of Yeddyurappa. Speaking to mediapersons, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said parliamentary party had collectively taken the decision.
