The Bharatiya Janata party today denounced the government's failure to boost economic investment in the country and for bluntly rejecting Standard and Poor's observation that India could become the first of the so-called BRIC economies to lose its investment-grade status. Addressing a news conference in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson, Nirmala Sitharaman quoted chief economic advisor Kaushik Basu's statement that the country was facing economic paralysis because of lack of coordination between the cabinet and Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi.
