Blast rocks Sopore town in Kashmir

Eight people were injured in a blast that rocked Sopore district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Speaking to reporters, Sopore's block medical officer, Saeed Masood said that 8 people had splinter injuries and they were being treated for the same. On Friday, the locals were panic struck, after an IED blasted at Mangu Chak near the international border. The restive region of Kashmir has witnessed numerous militant attacks, insurgency, and infiltration attempts from across the border in the last two decades.
