Building collapse: Building owner sent to 2-day police custody

Amritpal Singh, the owner of the building, which collapsed claiming 67 lives in New Delhi on Monday, was presented before the Karkardooma court yesterday. The judge remanded him to two days police custody. Said to have been involved in several other criminal cases earlier, Amritpal Singh has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code for the house collapse deaths.
