Chatwal accepts Padma award, hails Indian judicial system

Unfazed by the slew of allegations over financial irregularities, NRI hotelier Sant Singh Chatwal on Wednesday said "truth had prevailed" and added that he felt great at receiving the Padma award. Accepting the Padma Bhushan from President Pratibha Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Chatwal said he had chosen to keep quiet till the awards. Chatwal also expressed gratitude to the government of Indian for selecting him for this civilian award.
