Cold wave has swept through India's national capital New Delhi, causing locals to shiver as the mercury dropped in the region. The temperature in the region has even plunged to as low as 6.2 degree Celsius coupled with thick fog. The worst sufferers are the pavement dwellers who have no option but stay in open and bear the chilly weather. Locals in the city have stuck to hot drinks and blankets to beat the chill. Even the busiest roads wear a deserted look post 11 pm, as people prefer to remain indoors to ward off the cold.
