Updated on Sept 09, 2010 09:34 pm IST
Australia has issued advisory against travelling to Delhi for the Commonwealth Games (CWG) due to the dengue scare. Peter Varghese, Australian High Commissioner to India disclosed this at New Delhi on Wednesday and said that though they have issued travel advisories to the contingent from Down Under following the dengue scare, he is hopeful of the Games being held successfully. Local media has reported that at least 20 participating countries have written to the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee inquiring about the measures being taken to control the outbreak in and around the Commonwealth Games venues.
