Cyclone ‘Thane’ makes landfall in Tamil Nadu?

Cyclone Thane has hit the coast of Tamil Nadu. The cyclone made landfall between Puducherry and Cudallore. Puducherry is witnessing heavy rainfall and strong winds. Winds have already damaged property and several trees and poles as well as thatched roofs have been uprooted. Flight services were also disrupted due to the cyclonic storm with four international services, including those bound for Kuwait and Kuala Lumpur were cancelled.
