Dawood Ibrahim’s aide arrested in London

CBI has confirmed that Iqbal Mirchi, a key aide of underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim, has been arrested in London. Accused in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, Iqbal Mirchi was declared a proclaimed offender by India in 1994. He is known to have fled India in 1995. Iqbal Mirchi handles Dawood's drug trade. There was an Interpol notice pending against him. Now the CBI plans to approach the UK police through the Interpol and diplomatic channels to seek Mirchi's extradition or deportation to India.
