Situated about 348 miles from Mumbai, Ahmed Nagar is known for amity between Hindus and Muslims. And the celebration of annual Urs of Saint Qadri Baba is a perfect example of this fact. Every April devotees from different faiths not only come here to pay their respect to the saint, but also help in organizing the Urs. Legend has that Baba Shah Qadir was a mystic who devoted his entire life for the betterment of mankind and preached communal harmony.
