Samajwadi Party chief Mulwayam Singh Yadav termed his daughter in law Dimple Yadav's victory as a historic moment. Dimple, the wife of UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, won the Kannauj parliamentary constituency unopposed as no political party fielded their candidates against her.
