DMDK, AIADMK forge alliance for upcoming provincial polls

Ahead of the provincial polls in Tamil Nadu, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) in Chennai on Friday announced their alliance to contest together the forthcoming elections. The party chiefs, J. Jayalalithaa of AIADMK and Vijayakanth of DMDK, forged a deal where the DMDK will be contesting in 41 seats. Vijaykanth met Jayalalithaa at her residence on Friday night to formalize the alliance. Party cadres of AIADMK expressed happiness over the alliance and predicted a massive victory in the polls.
