Economic growth proportional to quality education: PM

Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh on Saturday emphasized that economic growth in the country is proportional to good quality higher education. Stressing on UPA Government's merits of promoting quality education in the country, Singh said that the money spent on education has been increased from 3.3% of GDP to 4% in the 12th Five Year Plan, in addition to establishment of many educational institutions in various fields.
